Synopsis
The Art Outreach Basecamp 2025 is a public symposium that examines the shifting landscape of art patronage, gathering thought leaders, artists, patrons, and policymakers to explore new models of support and art’s role in building resilient cities. Held on the first day of Singapore Art Week and alongside Art SG, Southeast Asia’s largest art fair, this serves as a companion event to the Art Outreach Summit, providing a platform to challenge traditional notions of patronage while reflecting Singapore’s emergence as a global arts hub.
Art Outreach Basecamp aims to amplify diverse voices and engage the community, fostering meaningful connections that transcend boundaries. It emphasises the critical role of art in urban development, inspiring dialogue on how innovative cultural support can meet the evolving needs of the arts ecosystem.
In collaboration with The Institutum, a Singapore-based non-profit dedicated to international art collaborations and education, the event draws on global perspectives to enrich the conversation, setting the tone for the week’s cultural events.
