Synopsis
With the support from Bukit Batok East Community Arts and Culture Club (CACC), this project highlight themes of sustainability, unity, and resilience. 1. Sustainability and Innovation: Using recycled materials to symbolise Singapore's commitment to environmental consciousness and innovation. Scaffolding rack represent the framework of a sustainable future built on collective effort. 2. Unity in Diversity: The varied materials (clothes, bottles, paper) illustrate Singapore's diverse society coming together to create something meaningful. This reflects how different backgrounds and resources contribute to the nation’s growth. 3. Resilience and Transformation: The repurposing of discarded items to symbolise resilience and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities, mirroring Singapore’s journey over the past 60 years. 4. Reflection and Hope: Invite viewers to reflect on consumption and waste, encouraging them to think about their role in shaping a sustainable future. This sums up the vision of a forward-thinking society which is our collective responsibility.
