Synopsis

Native Foreignness: Clay Between Worlds" features the work of seven local ceramists whose international experiences, particularly studying under Prof. Chang Ching Yuan in Taiwan, have profoundly influenced their craft. The exhibition highlights a dynamic blend of adaptation and innovation, with each piece reflecting a dialogue between the familiar and the foreign. These artists have enriched their creative expressions and expanded their artistic horizons by integrating new methods and materials. The show offers a fresh perspective on the evolution of ceramic art, showcasing how global experiences have transformed and redefined their approach to traditional and contemporary ceramics.
