Synopsis

Known for his performances in painting himself to blend into various backgrounds, Liu Bolin challenges our perceptions of visibility and presence. His work serves as both a literal and metaphorical exploration of invisibility. Bolin’s process involves meticulously painting his body to match the surroundings in which he stands. The act of camouflaging himself highlights how individuals can become overlooked or marginalised in society.
Exhibition Dates & Details
The completed artworks, along with Liu Bolin’s latest sculptures, will be showcased at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore's East Garden Gallery from 21 January to 9 February 2025. The exhibition will be open to the public with free admission from 10am to 10pm daily.
